Where to watch the World Cup 2022 in Berlin - Top 5 Venues

Where to watch the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Berlin - Top 5 Venues
December 1, 2022

The World Cup 2022 in 2022 has been by far one of the most controversial ever hosted. For many more reasons than that first ‘goal review’ in the opening match with Qatar and Ecuador.  We will start this blog by addressing that we do not condone the corruption, human rights abuses and clear evidence of outrageous discrimination in the host country.

There were many venues across Berlin that at first wanted to boycott this year's World Cup. But in the words of Monterey Bar owner Adrian Sampson, “The World Cup brings people together from across the globe and unites people from their own countries in supporting their teams”.

Monterey Bar in Prenzlauer Berg will be showing all of the Australian games. So, make sure to head down there and support him in raising money for their chosen charity.

There are quite a few bars that will be celebrating the unity of the world cup, here are a few that we can highly recommend… None of them Belushi’s (great sports bar, but there is so much more out there people)….

You might be wondering why a marketing agency is writing about where to watch the FIFA World Cup 2022? Well, I am sick of people recommending Belushi’s as the only sports bar in the city and wanted to share some of my findings.

Let's get into it…

Mitte: Olla Grill and Lounge, Stadt Bögen 154-155 James Simon Park.

Located next to Hackescher Markt S Bahn, Olla has a great variety of cocktails, food and Shisha. They have a bunch of great deals over the coming week for the FIFA World Cup. And… they have committed to playing every single game. LIVE!

The atmosphere is fun, they have indoor and outdoor options. And they have about 10 big screen TVs to watch the games.

Neukolln: Poropati, Weserstr. 79

I might be biased, but this is my favourite bar in Berlin. It’s a local! They will be playing quite a few of the games on their projector screen. You might even be lucky enough to witness their karaoke night.

Kreuzberg: Gloria,  Görlitzer Str. 42

Very nice restaurant and the empanadas were delicious. They are playing majority of the matches and even have discounts through out the month.

Friedrichshain: Home Bar, Neue BahnhofStr. 23

Come for the football, stay for the cocktails. Home Bar has a great selection of cocktails and beers. Super cosy vibes on the sofas. Definitely, a great spot to sit down and feel like you’re in your living room.
